Bellin Registration Instructions

Our first practice was so much fun! We have a very large group with close to 60 runners!

As your child continues training for the Bellin Run, he or she should start thinking about whether or not s/he wants to run the big race on Saturday, June 10th. We will discuss the race more as the date approaches. Registration deadline is May 1st if you would like the race packet delivered to Glenbrook.

With the Bellin Run having more than 15,000 runners, I highly suggest that your child run with a parent or a buddy. Have them chat with a friend at practice and make a plan to run together. When you register, you will need to enter their "pace" time. This is their average mile pace that they will run for 6.2 miles. (Remember, this will be slower than running a single mile). The pace time that you enter will determine which corral your child begins in (Corral A, B, C, D, E, F, etc). Faster paces are in Corral A while slower paces are in Corral F. It is best to be accurate in this or enter a slower pace so that your child feels comfortable running and is not "stampeded" by the other runners.

If you are unsure of your child's pace, I suggest holding off to register him or her until they get a better idea of their pace at practice. We will have days where we will time their runs and call out their pace at the end. As our runs get longer, they will have an even better idea of a comfortable pace they can maintain.

Here is a copy of the instructions for your reference. Only children that are attending our practices are allowed to use the discount code. Thank you!
